Wedding Band and Suit Collected!

Collected our wedding bands from SooKee! Love it! Here is a sneak peak~~

Collection of our lucky draw suit from La-Vie bridal. It consists of a pants and a jacket only, we both thought it would include a vest and shirt as well. Oh well, at least its pretty well made and the designer was very nice to us. I think he mentioned its made of some silk material also. Very shiny and feels comfy. Good for CC! Heee

XY Bdae

Just celebrated my birthday on the 29 May, very happy to have a long weekend since Fri cos of the Vesak day holiday. Would like to say THANK YOU to all who remembered my bdae and celebrated with me :)

Had a BBQ on Fri near SF house, thanks to TKS for helping us book the pit so last minute, mimi, sf and cc for helping to prepare the food, peipei, huimei, edmund, maureen and chee hong for joining the mini celebration! Really enjoyed the food and catching up . Thanks for the chain and necklace guys! I love it!! Heehee

Also had a mini celebration in the office on Wednesday. Was really surprised and abit paiseh..I shall not reveal too much on the details.. thanks for the vouchers!

Went to Grand Park City Hall with CC to use our $268.00 voucher which we won in the bridal show. We thought we can try dishes that may be included inside our wedding menu and on the food tasting we can try other variations (e.g. sharks fin in pumpkin, sharks fin in crab roe, sharks fin in crab meat etc) so we can choose the best for our menu.

Arrived around 12pm and started ordering to fully maximise the voucher. Really STUFFED . Look at what we ordered:

Peking Duck - My Fav dish out of the lot! The skin was very very crispy and frangrant!! The waitresses sliced the skin infront of us and wrapped for us. All we had to do was EAT! Yummy and the duck meat was used to cook fried rice. Look all the way down!

Pork and Chives Dumpling - A must try for chives lovers

Shanghai Xiao Long Bao - Lots of soup with very soft meat!

Sharks fin with Crab Meat - We had 1 serving each and as you can see below, the sharks fin is the real deal~ Lots of big pieces of crab meat and shark fin. Can really taste the seafood . CC's fav dish! If u are attending our wedding, u will likely see this on the menu!

Deep Fried Prawn with Wasabi Mayo - Very nice, and the below is a small portion we ordered. The wasabi makes the dish not feel oily and kinda refreshing. One of our fav dishes too!

Lobster dumpling - Very fresh lobster taste, but i was too full by now. Hahaa

Soon Hock in lotus leaf - Fresh fish, a little bland for me, but very fragrant . CC likes this dish despite the fact that he doesnt really like fish. Well done chef! - Im like super stuffed by now. Mostly finished by CC

Veggie in HK Style - Nice fresh veggie, frangrant. But Im too full to eat much

Yang Chow fried rice with Peking Duck Meat - Last dish, my stomach really cannot take it man. Very nicely done. Fragrant, the duck meat really heighten the dish, would loved to finish it but I really could not do it.. Even CC also very full by now..

Overall the food was of good standard and service was exellent, the waitresses keep refilling our tea when our cup was half full and was prompt in clearing our plates and changed plates for us too. They also explained to us and recommended new dishes to us. Very enjoyable experience~~ CC says he want to come here for anniversary or bdae celebrations next time.
We called for the bill and guess what, after ordering so much food, we only hit $238. The waitress then recommended us to order some dian xin or dessert to takeaway and not waste the remaining value - Good initiative! We ordered some gui lin gao and yang zhi gan lu back.
So full, but really happy with the food so fat. Hope u guys will be happy with the food on our wedding day too !

Takeaway dessert - Haven eat yet. Still very full. But the mango smells very tempting.... hee

Updates on Champions Court

Its been close to a year since we applied for Champions Court. I remembered we went to HDB to select our flat on 26 May 2009 and we have been waiting for the flat to be completed. Ever since, I have been going into the forums on updates on the progress of the flat, from the award of the contract to Team Build til now, the laying of the foundation has almost been completed!

From some of the pics, can see the cement floors for the base of the blocks already. Finally.. after seeing them digging and laying the foundation for so long, we can see some real action! Sometimes when I look at the pics, I really cant see the progress, cos its all orange soil and constant drilling and digging to me.
From the forum, my future neighbours have sighted tower cranes inside the site, meaning we should be able to see them stacking up the levels 1 by 1 soon! This is really exciting news for us! I really cant wait to see more progress and hope they can complete the project faster!!

Below is the approximate timeline from bidding til now

  • Feb 2009 - HDB Lauch Champions Court BTO
  • 26 May 2009- Selection of unit
  • Jul 2009- Payment of $2K deposit
  • 5 Oct 2009- Signing of Lease agreement and payment of 5% deposit
  • May 2010 - Sighting of Tower cranes !
We will continue to monitor the progress, if all goes well, hopefully we can get our flat by end of next year, after our wedding! Jia you Team Build!!!

CC Bdae celebration

Note: The following post is written by CC. This is his first attempt at blogging. Pls show him some support. Hahaha

Hi everybody! This is my first entry since my dear created the blog in April. To celebrate my birthday, xy suggested that we have a nice lunch buffet at The Rice Table before we proceed for a walk in town. After much discussion, we decided to push it to dinner so as not to compromise our sleeping time. Unlike previous years, we decided to forgo luxury celebration for simple meal as we have just burnt 3k for deposit in Grand Park City Wedding banquet. Siong ar....

As usual, we met up around noon time dressed smartly. To our surprises, both of us seems to have unknown telepathy between us- white top and black bottom. Woah!!! I have this feeling that she peeped through her windows to spy on my dressing before deciding hers. Shameless gal, haha.

We made our way to Suntec via MRT, busy chatting and also suaning each other and gossiping about other ppl. Our journey were filled with laughters and noises. Upon reaching Suntec, we chiong for a place to have lunch. As usual, We had a time deciding on the venue..... walk, see, walk, see.... FINALLY!! we settled with Pizza Hut $28.50 cheesy meal. Shiok Shiok sia.

The picture above shows 2 glasses of soda drink, berri delights and summer blah blah.... I couldnt recall. My dear swinged out her canon camera and started snapping away... Her pictures were all well taken compared to mine. My dear commented my shots were out of touch. I think she did not know how to appreciate mine. Haha.

Heheeeee...... Here comes the main course@@@ Cheesssssyyyy pizza. This is a must-try for all chesse lovers.

Yummy! Salivating ................................

Here comes my dear dear favorite, WARM CHOCOLATE WITH VANILLA!!! I strongly recommend this for sweet-toothies. This dish lifted our spirits to a next level. LOok at my smile. I am loving it.........
Smile sweetiez......
Nice shot by dear dear.

Oozing chocolate with nice cool vanilla. Heavenly nice..... See liao confirm droop droop. We were very full when we walked out of Pizza Hut. As of now, we have not locate the venue of Rice Table. After much walking..... we were stunned. Rice Table had closed down her branch in Suntec. Alamak! Sian 1/2.

After the failed attempt in finding Rice Table, we changed our agenda to finding a new coat for my iphone. Our search stretches from Suntec to Tampines before settling for one case at cwp. What a shocking day for me..... Nevertheless, my dear has promised to treat me Rice Table buffet at Cuppage (it is still there). I like my new cover!! Thanks dear for everything...
Although we did not managed to eat the buffet today, I enjoyed the process of searching high and low for it. I had to thank my dear for sponsoring my indo trip and buying the iphone cover as my birthday gifts. Thanks!!! I strongly believe that i can plan better for birthday events than my dear. Haha!!!
